Willdan Group, a national provider of professional, technical, and consulting services for utilities, announced that it has been awarded a $330-million contract by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), the country’s largest municipal utility. Under this five-year agreement, Willdan will oversee and execute the Commercial Direct Install Program, delivering comprehensive energy efficiency, water conservation, and electrification retrofit services to qualifying businesses, municipal buildings, and select K-12 schools.
The Commercial Direct Install Program supports Los Angeles’ objective of transitioning to 100% renewable electricity by 2035.
“We are excited to build on LADWP’s legacy of providing cost-effective energy efficiency measures to support local businesses and government infrastructure,” said Mike Bieber, Willdan’s CEO. “This program aligns well with Willdan’s capabilities – from resource integration planning for states and utilities to our program management expertise as one of the largest energy efficiency implementers in the country.”
