Yorkshire Water Services Limited has awarded a multi-supplier framework agreement worth up to £80 million to 15 consultancy and engineering firms, securing the technical expertise needed to deliver its Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) investment programme running from 2025 to 2030.
The CM3842 Technical Services and Assurance Framework is structured across four lots covering different categories of technical need. The framework replaces existing technical services and assurance arrangements and provides a single commercial route for Yorkshire Water's engineering, asset management and commercial functions.
- Lot 1, covering project-level technical services such as feasibility studies, options development and detailed design, was awarded to nine suppliers including AECOM, Arcadis, Arup, Binnies, Egis, JBA Consulting, Pell Frischmann, Pick Everard and Sweco, with a combined value of £12.7 million.
- Lot 2, for independent technical assurance including design reviews and compliance audits, was awarded to Costain and TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services, valued at £4 million.
- Lot 5, covering multi-disciplinary design services for complex projects, was awarded to six firms: AECOM, AtkinsRéalis, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald, Arup and WSP, with a value of £13.3 million.
- Lot 7, the most substantial award at £50 million, appoints Arup as sole technical design partner to provide strategic design capability, digital engineering support and long-term programme development, including maturity development for the PR29 planning cycle.
All contracts are estimated to run from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030, with two possible one-year extensions taking the maximum term to June 2032.
