Yorkshire Water has initiated the tender process for two significant framework agreements valued at approximately £2.8bn (US$3.6 billion), reports Construction Enquirer.
These two frameworks aim to facilitate water and wastewater asset investments over the next decade, aligning with Yorkshire Water's objective of significantly reducing sewage overflows into watercourses.
The proposed works will span the AMP8 regulatory period, commencing from April 2025 until March 2030, with potential extensions to AMP9.
Throughout this comprehensive 10-year duration, Yorkshire Water intends to allocate £1.5bn in collaboration with its Non-Infrastructure Framework partners.
The Stormwater Overflow Alliance can anticipate an investment of £1.3bn, with £500m designated for AMP8 and an estimated £800m for AMP9.
These funds will be utilized for the planning, design, management, and execution of projects associated with the sewage network, water distribution pipelines, and other pertinent assets.
