Yorkshire Water Services Limited has published a new tender inviting bids for a multi-supplier Technical Services and Assurance Framework to support its AMP8 investment programme, covering the period from 2026 to 2030. The notice was published on the UK’s Find a Tender portal under the Procurement Act 2023.
The framework is designed to provide a “single commercial route” for accessing technical consultancy, engineering design, technical assurance and specialist support services for Yorkshire Water’s Engineering, Asset Management and Commercial functions. It is intended to replace existing technical services and assurance frameworks, ensuring continuity and flexibility in securing expert support for the company’s planned investment activities.
The total estimated value of the framework is £80 million (excluding VAT), with an anticipated duration from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030, and an option to extend for up to two additional years.
The procurement notice outlines seven lots covering different categories of work:
- Technical Services (Minor Packages of Work) for project-level engineering support,
- Technical Assurance covering independent review and audit services,
- Health & Safety and Environmental Assurance (noting some lots may be cancelled or re-scoped),
- Design Partner roles for complex project delivery,
- Strategic Solutions Partner, and
- Technical Design Partner arrangements for broader, long-term design capabilities.
Awards under the framework are expected to be made by 31 March 2026.
Yorkshire Water is using a competitive flexible procedure in line with the Procurement Act 2023, in which suppliers first complete a selection questionnaire and then progress through stages of contractual review and tender submission.
The framework will allow Yorkshire Water to award individual call-off contracts either directly or following mini-competitions among appointed suppliers, depending on the needs of each work package.
