TecnoConverting has designed, manufactured and supplied coagulation-flocculation units and lamella clarifiers for the treatment of effluent in a desalination plant project (36,000 m3/d) and combined cycle power plant (183+25 MW) in Duqm (Oman). The units supplied will go to 2 lines of treatment with an average flow rate of 115 m3/h each, with the possibility of treating in one of them the total flow rate of 230 m3/h.
Each line comprises a coagulation-flocculation tank and a lamella clarifier made of PPH to avoid corrosion given the high salinity of the water to be treated, with an external structure of carbon steel with a coating for C5M.
The coagulation-flocculation tanks have been calculated based on the data supplied by the client, where each basin has a vertical mixer, a high speed mixer in the case of the coagulation basin and a slow speed mixer for the flocculation basins, with the shaft and impeller made of super duplex stainless steel.
As for the compact lamella clarifier units, each unit has an ultrasonic meter to monitor the level of the sludge layer and we have installed pneumatic pinch valves at each of the 4 points where sludge is removed in each clarifier.
The company has also supplied two sets of bridges and stairs for access, made entirely of GFRP, to facilitate the maintenance and monitor the operation of the units, as well as PP pipes to connect the units and power connections for mechanical equipment and instruments.
