On 21 January, the Taif Wastewater Treatment Plant (Saudi Arabia) was visited by His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SWPC, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhly, who was able to verify the operation of the facilities after completing the works within the stipulated timeframe.

For this reason, His Excellency wished to recognise the work and effort of both Tedagua and its partner Tawzea with a commemorative plaque in an event that served to highlight the coordination and good performance of all the actors involved in the project. Luis Miguel Arauzo, Tedagua's Business Development Director, received the award from the minister and thanked him for the deference and the facilities for working in the country.

This is the first BOOT purification project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that is in operation without any delays in the construction phase. The complex has a production capacity of 100,000 m³/day (expandable to 270,000 m³/day), making the plant a benchmark in the region.

The sludge treatment technology used - a pioneer in the region - is based on Waterleau's SBR biological reactor technology, which offers an ultra-compact and intelligent solution for the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater.
