Themes

Climate change is a clearly demonstrated phenomenon, with global consequences and impact, which requires the commitment and active collaboration of all countries, and at all levels: institutional, business, and individual. Greenhouse Gas emissions have been increasing in recent decades, with disappointing results for the survival of our lifestyle.

For this reason, in order to stop and reverse climate change and its consequences from different international spheres, it is necessary for countries to develop policies and strategies that promote concrete measures and actions that make it possible, including all social agents.

One of the main measures is the measurement of the carbon footprint. According to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition: "the Carbon Footprint, constitutes the totality of greenhouse gases emitted by direct or indirect effect by an individual, organization, event or product.”

In line with the responsibility and commitment to contribute to mitigating climate change, Tedagua has recently calculated its carbon footprint, carrying out a verification process of direct and indirect emissions derived from the development of its activities.

The process has been developed in accordance with the international standard ISO 14064:2018 and has involved the collection of data and the preparation of the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions report.

In addition to measuring the impact of the company's activities on the environment, Tedagua's commitment to sustainability has included the development of an emissions improvement plan, with specific actions in the short and medium term, as well as registration in the Registry of carbon footprint, compensation and CO2 absorption projects enabled by the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
