Thames Water has appointed Catherine Lynn to its Board as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 28 November 2018.
Ms Lynn is a former Group Strategy and Group Commercial Director at easyJet and played a leadership role in Europe’s low cost aviation sector for 20 years, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
She was also part of the start-up team for British Airways budget carrier Go Fly, as founding Head of Customer Services. Ms Lynn has more than 10 years non-executive experience, including seats on audit and risk and chair of remuneration committees with ACL (Airport Coordination Limited) and Liberty Living, a leading student accommodation provider.
Today’s announcement follows the recent appointments of independent non-executive directors Alistair Buchanan and Jill Shedden, as Thames Water’s Board restructure nears completion.
Ian Marchant, Thames Water Chairman, said: “Thames Water has been going through a period of unprecedented change, as we realign the business to build a better future for our customers and the environment. With her wealth of experience in ensuring millions of customers are at the heart of business decisions, Catherine is a great addition to the Board.”
Ms Lynn said: “I’m delighted to be adding my experience to the Board at such an important time in the company’s history, and helping to deliver the modern and high-quality water network our customers rightly expect.”
