Cerahelix, a leader in the development and manufacture of disruptive ceramic nanofiltration membrane products, announces the appointment of William (Bill) Paulus as Chief Executive Officer.

Paulus, who joined Cerahelix in January as Chief Operating Officer, will oversee the company’s plans to accelerate growth and firmly establish its leadership in the growing market for ceramic nanofiltration to solve often complex filtration and separation challenges.

Manufactured using the company’s patented thin-film and DNA templating technology, Cerahelix ceramic nanofiltration membranes represents the next generation in filtration and separation technology. They are being used by a growing number of companies to address their filtration, treatment and separation requirements.

Now as CEO, Bill will activate that framework and oversee the implementation of Cerahelix’s commercialization and growth plans aimed at taking the company to the forefront of the ceramic nanofiltration market,” said Alexander Crowell, Managing Director, PureTerra Ventures and formerly, Cerahelix’s Interim CEO.

Paulus bring more than 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and global operations to his position. Prior to becoming part of the Cerahelix team, he was Vice President of Global Operations at Celgard, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high-performance membrane separators, where he also served as Vice President of Product Development and Director-Intellectual Property and Corporate Strategy. He also served as Vice President of Manufacturing & Supply Chain at Blackmore Sensors & Analytics, and Vice President of Manufacturing at Pittsburgh Glass Works. He also held senior management positions at Delphi (now global technology company Aptiv) including Director of Business Planning and Business Development & Ventures Director for various operating units. Paulus began his career as Senior Manufacturing Engineer at General Motors.

His credentials also include three Masters Degrees – two from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Finance and Strategic Management, and another, in Solid State Science, from Pennsylvania State University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering at Alfred University.
