Evoqua Water Technologies, an industry leader in mission critical water treatment solutions, announced it has acquired privately held ATG UV Technology Limited, a leading manufacturer of ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection systems used in a wide range of municipal, aquatics and industrial applications. The acquisition adds to Evoqua’s UV offering and further underscores the Company’s commitment to the global water treatment market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ATG UV serves the municipal, marine, food and beverage, oil and gas, aquatics and aquaculture markets and is the exclusive technology supplier to Evoqua’s ETS-UV™ product line in North America. The acquisition expands Evoqua’s reach, allowing the Company to serve customers globally.

UV technology is a chemical-free disinfection technology widely used across the globe. The numerous benefits of adopting UV based disinfection include eliminating chemical management costs and safety risks, making the technology one of the fastest growing disinfection techniques across the global water market.
The acquisition of ATG UV marks the first transaction in 2019 and the 13th acquisition by Evoqua. The brand will join Evoqua’s portfolio of disinfection brands, which include Wallace & Tiernan® systems, Delta UV® products and Pacific Ozone™ products and solutions.
ATG UV is based in Wigan, UK and has approximately 75 employees.
