The recent acquisition of Naunet by the French group Saur ensures the provision of water services to nearly 400,000 inhabitants, which is currently served by the Colombian operator, set up in 2013, through five concession companies.
Naunet manages the integral water cycle in several municipalities located on the Atlantic Coast. This is made possible through the decentralizing policy initiated by the Colombian government in collaboration with the private initiative for the provision of public services.
One of the main objectives of Saur’s international development plan was to return to Latin America, beginning with the acquisition of Naunet. The French company, exclusively dedicated to water management, will provide technical and financial solvency to the Colombian operator.
Saur’s Spanish subsidiary, Gestagua, formalized the acquisition of Naunet. Gestagua will progressively implement its know-how and technology solutions in the Colombian subsidiary.
For Louis-Roch Burgard, CEO of Saur: “The acquisition of Naunet is part of the group’s objectives for 2023 and its desire to accelerate its international development through the procurement of companies in geographical areas with strong development potential.”
"Naunet constitutes a platform for the development of the group in Colombia -said the company’s president- and a base for its extension throughout Latin America.”
