As of April 2022, Hiroyuki Katayama has taken over as President of Hydranautics – A Nitto Group Company. He succeeds Masaaki Ando, who has decided to take over a new role in Nitto.
In this new position, Hiroyuki will help Hydranautics to continue strengthening its position in the global water business. And bring innovative solutions to the market which improves the quality of human life and makes the world more sustainable. Currently, he is also serving as the Director of the Global Membrane Division of Nitto.
Hiroyuki is a visionary who has decades of global leadership experience and extensive technical knowledge. He joined Nitto in 2006 as chief researcher and since then he has held several key positions in various divisions of Nitto. In the year 2017, he was appointed as the President of Nitto Denko Technical Corporation, where he led the R&D center to develop disruptive technologies.
Hiroyuki received his doctorate in chemistry from Osaka City University in Japan and has been a part of the academia team of Kyoto University in Japan and Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.
