Isle is excited to be partnering with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) again this year to power the Innovation Hub at AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE) in Toronto, Canada. ACE is the world’s premier water conference and a space where the water community comes together to learn, connect, and be inspired to solve global water challenges. Each year, over 10,000 utility representatives, industry leaders, and solution providers from water and wastewater backgrounds convene to join forces on navigating challenges and harnessing opportunities in water. Isle will be joined by the following emerging and innovative technology company exhibitors, who will be spread across four distinct zones in the Hub. The Intelligent Systems Zone represents companies who are leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithmic data analysis to improve workflows, efficiencies, and outputs. The Next Generation Infrastructure Zone will host exhibitors focused on improving today’s conventional solutions to adapt to tomorrow’s challenges. Solutions in the Resource Protection Zone are actively utilizing technology to enhance the resilience and health of water resources. In the Advanced Water Quality Solutions Zone, companies are involved in the monitoring, analysis, data-collection for enhanced water quality.
Join us in the Innovation Hub on June 12- June 14 at ACE23 and learn about innovative practices and pathbreaking solutions in water management and treatment from communities, utilities, and technology companies from around the globe. The ACE23 theme, Water2050, will be integrated into Innovation Hub programming.
The Opening Session for the Innovation Hub will kick-off with an Indigenous-led water ceremony to honor and respect water resources. Immediately following the water ceremony, we will be joined by Autumn Peltier, Dawn Martin-Hill and Wigs Mendoza for a panel discussion focused on Indigenous Peoples’ innovative practices, methods, and tools for water conservation and management as well as the solutions needed to protect and preserve water resources.
Innovation Hub programming will continue with a discussion on Technology Trials and Pilots to Implementation featuring leaders from water technology companies who are participating in the Trial Reservoir, a reservoir of risk-free loan funding to accelerate the adoption of technologies to help the water sector achieve carbon neutrality.
On Day 2, the Innovation Hub stage will be dedicated to sharing Water 2050 outcomes from the AWWA Think Tanks focused on Technology, Sustainability, and Governance. President and Managing Director of Isle Americas, Cristina Ahmadpour, will moderate a discussion on the recommendations and actionable items that emerged from the Water2050 Technology Think Tank as well as how to ensure that the long-term goals for the water community are achieved.
We will round out programming in Innovation Hub with a discussion on Technical Advisory and the Opportunity for Innovation. Panelists will discuss technical assistance opportunities that are now available because of increased funding from the EPA towards Environmental Finance Centers (EFCs). The session will focus on opportunities for emerging technology and new approaches to advancing projects through EFC vehicles and opportunities for collaboration.
On Monday, June 12, at 4pm you are invited to join us for a reception, at the No Water, No Beer Happy Hour taking place in the Innovation Hub! It will be a great space to connect and network with peers and colleagues.
The Innovation Hub would not be possible without our Sponsors.
