Osmoflo has been awarded a Process Package Contract by Rio Tinto, for its Dampier Seawater Desalination Plant.
The contract is valued at over AUD$60m (around US$39 million), and at completion the plant will be capable of producing over 4GL/annum (up to 12 ML/day) of potable water.
The plant forms a key part of Rio Tinto’s strategy to ensure the security of water for its operations in the West Pilbara.
Osmoflo will design, procure, and fabricate all process equipment, support the overall facility’s design, oversee site installation and commissioning, undertake training of Rio Tinto’s personnel, and provide operational support. Potable water production is forecast for 2026.
