SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. is a top-tier integrated player in China’s water and environmental markets. It is engaged in wastewater treatment, water supply, solid waste management and other environmentrelated businesses.

SIIC Environment has secured its first wastewater treatment plant project in Macau of the People’s Republic of China ("PRC"). The Project has a total designed capacity of 69,685 tons per day.

Nanfang Water, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of SIIC Environment, has signed an agreement with the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and Companhia De Desenvolvimento De Tecnologias Greenfort LDA. em Consórcio regarding the operation and maintenance (O&M) services of the Taipa WWTP and the wastewater treatment facility at Macau International Airport. The Taipa WWTP in Macau has a designed treatment capacity of 69,000 tons per day and the wastewater treatment facility at Macau International Airport has a designed treatment capacity of 685 tons per day. The O&M period is five years. Nanfang Water Co., Ltd. is responsible for the operation and management of the Macau Project.

In January 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly issued the "Implementation Plan on Promoting the Construction and Management of Household Wastewater and Waste Treatment Facilities in Designated Towns", proposing to achieve full coverage of household wastewater treatment in the built-up areas of the designated towns in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by 2025. The Macau Project is located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, one of the most open and economically vibrant regions in the PRC. The implementation of the Macau Project is in line with the general direction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to “protect the security of water resources and build a world-leading bay area and a model for high-quality development”. The Group will firmly grasp the opportunities presented by national strategies and policies, make full use of its technological and resource advantages in operating the Macau project, and further expand the environmental protection layout of the South China market, explore the development potential of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
