SIIC Environment Holdings said on Tuesday that it had awarded a 10,000 tonnes Wastewater Treatment Project in Heilongjiang Province, 230,000 tonnes WWTPs commenced commercial operation in Guangxi and Henan Province and 110,000 tonnes WWTPs signed tariff increasing and expansion agreements in Heilongjiang and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the People's Republic of China.

Awarded a 10,000 tonnes WWTP in Heilongjiang Province the company’s indirect 57.9687%-owned subsidiary, Longjiang Environmental Protection Group has sign an upgrading agreement of Youyi County WWTP Project with the Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Youyi County in the form of a consortium. Youyi Project has a designed capacity of 10,000 tonnes per day. The agreement states that Class I Standard B part adopts O&M method, the discharge standard will be upgraded from Class I Standard B to Class I Standard A adopts BOT model. The Youyi Project tariff is priced at RMB2.988 per tonne and concession period shall last for 29 years.

230,000 tonnes WWTPs have commenced commercial operation in Guangxi and Henan Provinces Beihai WWTP Hongkan Wastewater Treatment Plant (“Hongkan Project”), has completed upgrading with a discharge standard as Class I Standard A and has commenced commercial operation on 2 June 2020. Hongkan Project has a designed capacity of 200,000 tonnes per day and water tariff is priced at RMB1.48 per tonne. Xiping County 3rd Wastewater Treatment Plant 1st Phase (“Xiping Project”) has commenced commercial operation on 3 August 2020.Xiping Project has a designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per day. The discharge standard will be Class I standard A and water tariff is priced at RMB1.88 per tonne.

110,000 tonnes WWTPs signed tariff increasing and expansion agreements in Heilongjiang Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The Company’s indirect 57.9687%-owned subsidiary, Zhaodong Longjiang Environmental Protection Limited has signed a supplementary agreement of Zhaodong City Second Wastewater Treatment Plant Project with the Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhaodong City.

The construction of Zhaodong Project divided into two phases, with a total designed capacity of 50,000 tonnes per day. Based on the agreement, the latter phase has a designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per day. The discharge standard will be Class I Standard A and water tariff is priced at RMB2.87 per tonne. The Company’s indirect 57.9687%-owned subsidiary, Hegang Longjiang Environmental Protection Limit has signed an expansion agreement of Hegang City Wastewater Treatment Plant Project with the People’s Government and Water Bureau of Hegang. 

The West Expansion Project has a designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per day. The discharge standard will be Class I Standard A and tariff is priced at RMB2.75 per tonne. It concession period shall last for 30 years. The Company’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Yinchuan SIIC Environment Riverfront Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd., has signed a supplementary agreement of Suyin Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Plant Project with Suyin Industrial Management Committee, formerly named as Yinchuan Binhe District Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. Suyin Project with the total designed capacity of 150,000 tonnes per day, has commenced operation at capacity of 50,000 tonnes per day and the discharge standard as Class I Standard A. The upgrading of Suyin Project will be implemented into two phases, with 25,000 tonnes per day in each phase. The water tariff will increase from RMB1.35 per tonne to RMB5.96 per tonne.
