ACCIONA closed 2024 with record revenues of €19.19 billion, reflecting solid growth in all business areas. The company continued to expand its presence in infrastructure, energy and water, consolidating its position as a global leader in sustainable solutions.
Infrastructure and energy: consolidation and expansion
The infrastructures division had a turnover of €8.15 billion, setting a new all-time high for the company. Within this area, the project backlog reached €53.84 billion, with almost 90% of the works outside Spain. ACCIONA won key contracts such as the I-10 Calcasieu Bridge highway in Louisiana (USA), the Suburban Rail Loop East project in Melbourne (Australia) and the Peripheral Ring Road in Lima (Peru).
In the energy sector, ACCIONA Energy ended the year with 15.35 GW of installed capacity, following the addition of 2 GW in markets such as Australia, India, Canada, Spain and Croatia. Despite the fall in revenues (-14.1%), the company met its EBITDA target, boosted by the improvement in electricity prices in Spain in the second half of the year. It also made progress in its asset rotation plan with the sale of 801 MW of hydro power for approximately €1.3 billion.
Water sector: leadership and new projects
ACCIONA's Water business posted revenues of €1.19 billion euros (-2%) and EBITDA of 93 million euros (-1.7%). Although the lower contribution of projects in the completion phase affected results, the start of new projects such as the Alkimos (Australia) and Ras Laffan 2 (Qatar) desalination plants positions the company for sustained growth in the coming years.
