The Philippines Metro Pacific Iloilo Water (MPIW), the city of Iloilo’s water utility, has appointed Angelo David Berba as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Berba assumes the role from Engr. Robert Cabiles, whose contributions have been integral to the company's expansion and operational enhancements, reports Daily Guardian.
This new appointment coincides with MPIW's strategic focus on implementing innovative operational strategies and embracing digitalization to enhance service delivery.
Berba is an experienced leader in the water sector, having previously worked for Manila Water Company, Aboitiz Equity Ventures/Aboitiz Infra Capital Inc., and Metro Pacific Dumaguete Water.

MPIW will benefit greatly from Berber’s expertise in driving customer-centric initiatives, as the utility transitions into a new growth phase, which will focus on enhancing customer service and career opportunities for locals.

His official tenure as COO commenced on April 1st.
