A consortium led by Jiangsu United Water Technology of China, in partnership with Prosus Energy from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia’s Armada Holding, has emerged as the leading bidder for a contract valued at approximately 211 million dollars, according to MEED. The project involves the construction and upgrade of two wastewater treatment plants under Package 11, North-West Cluster A, in Saudi Arabia.
The consortium submitted the lowest tariff offer, surpassing competitors including Turkey’s Kuzu and other international companies from Spain and India.
This initiative is part of the National Water Company’s long-term operation and maintenance program, which aims to improve water infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the LTOM11 project is expected to reach a combined treatment capacity of 440,000 cubic meters per day.
This development follows the consortium’s award of Package 10 in January, indicating continued progress in the National Water Company’s program. Additional tenders, including Package 14 for the East Cluster A, are expected to be launched in the near future.
