Drake & Scull unit secures $46 million contract for water treatment pant in India
Passavant Energy & Environment, the German subsidiary of Drake and Scull International, has secured a contract valued at 169 million UAE dirhams ($46.02 million) from Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) to construct a water treatment plant with a capacity of 70 million liters per day, reports Zawya.
As part of the agreement, the company will also install a 900 mm diameter water pipeline in the AURIC Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra, India, according to a statement released by Drake and Scull on Wednesday via the stock exchange.
The project encompasses the full scope of design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of both the water treatment plant and pipeline. Additionally, the contract includes a provision for 10 years of operation and maintenance.
The work is expected to be completed within 36 months following the issuance of the letter of award.
