Engineering solutions firm EVZ through its subsidiary Brockman Engineering, has secured a contract worth approximately AUD$23 million from Rio Tinto.
Brockman Engineering will be responsible for delivering a bulk process water tanks package as part of Rio Tinto's seawater desalination project at Parker Point in Dampier, Western Australia.
With a market capitalisation of $18.76 million, EVZ has announced that the project’s design and procurement phases will commence immediately. Mobilization to the site is scheduled for December 2024, with the project expected to be completed by the final quarter of 2025.
This contract is anticipated to boost EVZ's revenue and earnings in the 2025-26 financial year, contributing to its diverse project portfolio in the energy and resources sector.
Back in June 2023, Rio Tinto revealed its $395 million investment plan for a seawater desalination plant in Western Australia, aimed at securing water supply for its coastal operations and local communities in the area.
