Frank Braunschweig (Bentley Systems): “The best way for cities to adapt is through digital twins”

During Bentley Systems’ Year in Infrastructure 2019 awards, in Singapore, we spoke to Frank Braunschweig, Senior Product Manager at Bentley Systems, about Machine Learning and AI and its application in the water industry, and how digitalization is helping to improve the efficiency of water use.

During the interview, Braunschweig explained why digital twins are essential for cities around the world looking to adapt to climate change and its increasing impacts, such as a flash floodings and prolonged periods of drought.

Frank Braunschweig also states that people must change their mindsets to be able to adapt to digitalization, and this is particularly true if they are part of a company that is embarked on its digital water journey.
