No Dig Alliance (NDA), a Nordic provider of underground water infrastructure services backed by Ambienta, has acquired Sweden-based JS Drilling Solutions AB, a company specialising in trenchless pipe installation technologies. The transaction expands NDA’s operations in Sweden and adds further expertise in low-impact underground infrastructure construction.
Headquartered in Sundsvall, JS Drilling Solutions delivers horizontal directional drilling services for the installation of underground pipelines. The company works with municipalities, public authorities and infrastructure contractors across Sweden, supporting the development and maintenance of utility networks, including water and wastewater systems. Following the acquisition, JS Drilling Solutions will be integrated into NDA’s Riggtech business.
The deal is NDA’s third add-on acquisition in recent months as the group continues to expand through a buy-and-build strategy in the underground infrastructure market. Acquired by Ambienta in 2025, NDA now employs close to 300 people across the Nordic region and focuses on trenchless technologies that help reduce excavation-related disruption, emissions and resource consumption.
The acquisition comes as utilities across Europe face mounting challenges linked to ageing infrastructure and climate pressures. According to the companies, water losses in the Nordic region still range from 18% to 30% of total supply, highlighting the need for network upgrades and leakage reduction measures.
