The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Jubail – Buraydah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) project.
The project is part of the IWTP programme of the Saudi Government, which also includes the Riyadh – Qassim IWTP, the Ras Mohaisen to Mecca IWTP, and the Rayis to Rabigh IWTP.
The Jubail – Buraydah water transmission pipeline project will have a capacity of up to 650,000 cubic metres per day, and a length of 603 km. The SWPC will conduct a competitive process to select a company or consortium to develop the Project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (“BOOT”) basis.
The project developer will provide the entire transmission capacity to SWPC under a Water Transmission Agreement (WTA), for a term which is expected to be up to 35 years. SWPC’s obligations under the WTA will be supported by a credit support agreement entered into by the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Interested parties are asked to express their interest to participate in the tender process no later than November 21, 2021. Further details can be found in a SWPC statement.
