The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has announced the submission date for prequalification documents for the Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) is September 16, informs Energy & Utilities.

The project involves the construction of a water transmission pipeline with a capacity of 400,000 cubic meters per day and measuring 300 km from Ras Mohaisen – to Baha – to Mecca. The SWPC will select a developer or developer consortium to develop the Project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (“BOOT”) basis.

Earlier this summer the SWPC published the list of companies who expressed their interest in the IWTP project, then recently announced in a company statement that the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the IWTP had been issued to the interested companies.
