Online session on 3 June will examine how cloud-based simulation is reshaping water utility workflows, with a focus on Scottish Water's early adoption of InfoWorks ICM and InfoWorks WS Pro.
Water utility professionals are being invited to join an online discussion on Wednesday, June 3rd, on how cloud-based hydraulic modelling is reshaping the way the sector designs, tests and operates its networks, in the latest instalment of the Autodesk Water Webinar Series by Smart Water Magazine.
The session, titled “Hydraulic Modelling in the Cloud with InfoWorks ICM & InfoWorks WS Pro: Lessons from Scottish Water’s Early Adoption Experience”, will take place on 3 June at 12 pm BST (1 pm CEST).
At its core, the free webinar will examine how water utilities are putting the cloud capabilities now embedded in InfoWorks ICM and InfoWorks WS Pro to use, with a focus on scaling modelling workflows, shortening simulation times and supporting more flexible collaboration between teams. During the webinar, Samer Muhandes, Senior Product Manager for InfoWorks ICM at Autodesk Water, will be joined by Stephen Leslie, Hydraulic Principal Digital Specialist at Scottish Water, who will set out the utility’s experience of moving to cloud-enabled workflows. His account is expected to cover what has worked well, the obstacles encountered along the way, and practical advice for organisations weighing up their own move to cloud simulation.
The online seminar will be particularly relevant for professionals looking to reduce simulation times, work with larger and more complex models, strengthen data governance and security, or improve day-to-day operational flexibility. The session is also intended to offer a window into where hydraulic modelling is heading, as utilities come under increasing pressure to do more with their data while managing tighter budgets and stricter regulatory expectations.
The webinar forms part of the broader Autodesk Water Webinar Series by Smart Water Magazine, which has been positioned as a meeting point for utility companies engaged across the full water cycle.
