Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Ras Mohaisen – Baha – Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) project, reports Zawya.
In a statement, the firm said that the pipeline project will have a total capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day and is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2026.
Earlier this year, SWPC announced a list of 19 pre-qualified bidders.

The SWPC will select a developer or developer consortium to develop the Project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (“BOOT”) basis.
In June 2021, SWPC said that 35 companies had submitted the expression of Interest (EOI) and in August, SWPC announced the submission date for prequalification documents for the Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP).
SWPC is advised by Synergy Consulting IFA Inc. (as Lead and Financial Adviser), Amer Al Amr Law Firm (as Legal Adviser) and Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG (as Technical Adviser).
