Taiwan International Water Week 2025 closes its most international and strategic edition
The 2025 edition of Taiwan International Water Week (TIWW), held from October 29 to 31 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX), confirmed its role as Taiwan’s leading B2B platform dedicated to the water sector. Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the event brought together over 100 leading companies across 200 booths, consolidating its position as a meeting point for industry, government, and the international water community. The total number of visitors announced this year is over 4,300, marking a 70% growth from last year.

Focusing on the themes of Water Technology, Water Resilience, and Water Quality, TIWW 2025 stood out for its strategic vision and its ability to connect economic development with sustainability. The exhibition featured solutions in wastewater treatment, desalination, water transport and storage, process control, hydraulic engineering, and digitalization, as well as technologies for water-intensive industries such as semiconductors, energy, petrochemicals, and food processing.
Among its key highlights, the event introduced the Sustainability Hub and the AquaImpact recognition label, which celebrates companies advancing sustainability and responsible governance. Within this new area, the British Standards Institution (BSI) provided on-site consulting on international standards and ESG strategies.
More than 100 companies and 200 booths showcase Taiwan’s potential to lead a more resilient water management model
The agenda also included TIWW Tech Talks, an International Forum, the Sustainability Workshop, and multiple one-on-one procurement meetings, all designed to foster collaboration between Taiwanese companies and international visitors.
Beyond the numbers, this year’s edition reflected the maturity of Taiwan’s water policy. The Government of Taiwan, through the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Water Resources Agency, is leading a solid strategy that combines public investment, private cooperation, and technological innovation. Desalination and water reuse have become key pillars to secure supply and strengthen resilience against droughts, while the digital transformation of water networks continues to drive efficiency and reduce losses.
Desalination, water reuse, and digitalization define the country’s roadmap toward sustainable water management
The true value of TIWW 2025 lies in its ability to build a coherent national water ecosystem, where global leaders such as Veolia, COX, and Xylem coexist with increasingly competitive Taiwanese companies including FineTek, MIC Meter, TankPAC, PASSAL, and Kuo Toong. This balance between international cooperation and domestic development positions Taiwan on a path of sustainable growth within the Asia-Pacific water landscape.
TIWW 2025 concludes not only as an exhibition of technology, but as a statement of vision: a country that plans, invests, and collaborates to secure the water of the future.
