Global water technology provider Xylem and Idrica, experts in the digital transformation for the water industry, are joining forces to offer an integrated software and analytics platform: Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua. The partnership will accelerate both companies’ efforts to help water utilities implement digital technology and use it to increase the efficiency of their operations.
Xylem and Idrica will bring together their flagship digital solutions: their integration will take digital transformation to the next level. Xylem Vue is a full suite of digital solutions that combines smart, connected technologies with intelligent systems and services and 100+ years of problem-solving expertise. Idrica’s technological solution GoAigua is a proven software and analytics platform that uses advanced algorithms to enable optimal decision making and streamlined management of utility operations – while simplifying and expediting digital transformation.
The partnership brings together Xylem’s global reach and digital portfolio of solutions with the GoAigua platform, created by utilities for utilities, to drive the water sector forward. The details were released in a company announcement: Xylem will distribute Idrica’s GoAigua technology globally and take a minority stake in Idrica. In addition, the partners will enter into a joint development agreement for new technologies.
Rocio Echeverria, Vice President of Water and Energy Measurement at Xylem, highlighted that teaming up with Idrica supports Xylem’s strategy to drive the digitalisation of the water industry, providing a vendor-agnostic platform that will make it easier to deploy and use digital solutions.
The new platform will allow integrating products from Xylem or competitors into a user-friendly system, providing a modular, scalable solution. “Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua will provide water managers with a faster path to digital integration – from equipment optimization to data gathering, analysis, and reporting”, said Rocio. And she added “for existing Xylem customers, the platform will support greater connectivity and simplify maintenance and operations.”
“Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua will bring together Xylem and Idrica’s technical depth (from assets to analytics) and operational knowledge to create an even stronger offering”, said Jaime Barba, Idrica’s Chief Executive Officer. He noted the partnership is an exciting opportunity for Idrica to bring their technology and utility operations experience all over the world, through Xylem’s global reach. Meanwhile, Rocio pointed out that the partnership provides enhanced access to utility operations to design and test solutions in real time, and working together will allow accelerating their innovation agenda.
