Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik dedicated the WABAG built Sewage Treatment Plant at CDA Sector 01 to the people of Cuttack in December of last year. The 36 MLD plant is equipped with advanced wastewater treatment technologies like Activated Sludge Process and Anaerobic Sludge Digestion.
The project is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and will be operated and maintained by WABAG for seven years.
The plant will boost the drainage and sanitation system of the city through discharge of treated wastewater into the rivers like Mahanadi and Kathajodi and will ensure a healthy environment for over 1 million people in the city.
