Smart Water Summit 2019 & presentation of iAgua Magazine 24
Presentation
The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a fact of everyday life. Digital technology has transformed the way we work, move, consume and even relate to each other. Politicians, entrepreneurs and decision-makers at all levels continue to assess the profound implications of this large-scale technological revolution.
The water industry faces a time of unprecedented change: technologies such as Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality or Artificial Intelligence are altering the way this precious resource is managed. This progression has generated new opportunities and business models to develop, but it has also introduced risks that must be supervised.
iAgua, a leading media resource and reference for water professionals in Latin America and Spain, has made this topic one of its priorities. Following the successes of the 2017 and 2018 editions, Smart Water Summit 2019 will address the challenges of new technologies in relation to water management. The event will serve as a framework for the presentation of iAgua Magazine 24, the magazine of water professionals, with which it shares a thematic axis. During the event, debates and presentations will highlight the current and future opportunities and challenges offered by this technological revolution, as well introducing the most notable success stories carried out by the sector’s leaders. Smart Water Summit 2019 will once again offer an unsurpassable opportunity to network with the most relevant professionals in digitalization working in the water sector.
Talent is undoubtedly one of the protagonists of this digital revolution in which the labour market is changing at a dizzying rate. Smart Water Summit 2019 will be, as in previous editions, the framework for the presentation of the Sustainable Water Management Awards promoted by Botín Foundation's Water Observatory.
