Decarbonization and sustainability in the water sector
Jorge Helmbrecht, Idrica’s Business Development Director, showcased the platform to the attendees at the fair, highlighting "the good reception and the significant interest generated by Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua". According to the expert, "the Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua platform has attracted a great deal of interest among those attending the event. Its versatility, its analytical capacity, and the possibility of connecting multiple assets regardless of their manufacturer, were some of the most valued aspects".
The platform, launched over a year ago, is gradually gaining relevance in response to the increasing need for digital transformation of the water sector. One notable highlight at the Xylem booth was the talk held by Joost Aloserij, Business Development Director at Xylem, and Jaume Alba, Client Solutions Architect at Idrica. During the speech, they described some details of the project carried out at Yorkshire Water, "an excellent example of leveraging digital solutions", as Aloserij pointed out.
During the talk, the implementation of digital solutions was highlighted as the only way to decarbonization and sustainability in the water sector. In the words of Jaume Alba, “the drive towards decarbonization and sustainability in the water sector can only be fully realized through the implementation of digital solutions”. For Alba, “it is crucial to harness the power of data analytics and smart technologies,” pointing to the role of the Xylem Vue platform powered by GoAigua in reducing the carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices. For the Idrica member, “these digital tools enable utilities to monitor and optimize energy usage, detect and prevent leaks, and manage resources more efficiently.”
