J. Huesa Water Technology is awarded the project for the extension of the Tertiary Treatment of the wastewater treatment plant of the city of Santa Maria, on the island of Sal, in the Republic of Cabo Verde by the company concessionaire of the wastewater sanitation system management service, App Ambiente SUA.
This municipality has an increasing tourist activity and several industrial agriculture projects are being prepared in Palha Verde, so the demand for high-quality irrigation water is increasing significantly.
J. Huesa has designed a reclaimed water treatment system using ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and disinfection by ozonation, which will allow the supply of two types of reclaimed water to the Palha Verde area:
- Ultrafiltered water with high bacteriological quality, with a daily distribution capacity of 250 m3.
- Demineralised water, coming from the reverse osmosis treatment previously ultrafiltered, with a daily distribution capacity of 250 m3
We would like to thank App Ambiente for the trust placed in J. Huesa for the execution of this circular economy project that contributes to reducing water consumption by applying #regeneration technology to water from biological treatment.
