According to OPWP, the Project will include the development, financing, design, engineering, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of a surface water treatment plant; the net production capacity will be 125,000 m3 per day. The scheduled date for operating at full capacity is October 31st, 2022. In addition, a requirement of early operation with a capacity of 72,000 m3 per day by April 1st, 2022, is expected.

The Wadi Dayqah Independent Water Project will comprise a surface water treatment plant located some 6.5 km from the Wadi Dayqah dam, tapping the water resources in the reservoir.

The same as with previous IWPs in Oman, the OPWP will enter into a water purchase agreement with the project developer, and private sector funding will follow a Build-Own-Operate model. Concerning the tariff structure and risk allocation, it is also expected to also follow the scheme of previous IWPs.

Qualified local, regional and international companies are invited to submit their EOIs until the deadline, set for June 30th, 2019.
