About the entity

Tedagua
A Cobra Group leading company, specialised in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of desalination plants, drinking water treatment plants, and urban and industrial wastewater treatment and reuse plants, and ancillary facilities

The construction of the Independent Sewage Treatment Plant for the city of Taif (Saudi Arabia), built by Tedagua and Tawzea, is nearing completion and the plant has started the commissioning trial.

Tedagua and Tawzea have executed in the city of Taif the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 100,000 m3/day. The project is one of the most important in the country as it is of great strategic importance since it will be the first ISTP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During his last visit, His Excellency Eng. Khaled Alqureshi, CEO of SWPC, he formally congratulated the Consortium Partners for the safety achievement of more than 2.5 million man-hours without accidents. During the event, the SWPC’s CEO presented a recognition to the Project Managers, including Tedagua's project director, Giorgio Remeri for their effort, work and dedication.

We extend this recognition on behalf of the entire Tedagua to our colleague and all the Project’s team.

In addition, the planting initiative, which aims to plant a green space that extends to 211 thousand m2 around the project using the treated sewage water, to participate in the Saudi Green Initiative has started.

The TAIF Independent Sewage Treatment Plant has a conventional pretreatment and primary treatment, as well as a continuous flow SBR secondary treatment with Lucas® technology by WATERLEAU, a tertiary filtration and disinfection treatment and a sludge treatment with anaerobic digestion. It also has a solar drying system and a biogas cogeneration system, which helps to increase the plant's energy efficiency and reduce its energy footprint.

Tedagua and the Partners continue to fulfill their commitment to responsible construction, with the least impact on the environment, while maintaining its standards of quality and service to its customers and society.
